Club Nights
When the club is meeting normally - First Tuesday in the month as indicated in the What's On section at Norton Trinity Methodist Church (see contact us & location for map & directions).
We have a varied programme of events incorporating tutorials by professional photographers, guest speakers and competitions, all designed to improve everyones photographic skills.
Training
Training is offered on various of aspects of photography including the use of all types of cameras including mobile phones, compacts, DSLR and mirrorless.Training is provided in the form of tutorials and practical sessions offered by both proficient club members and visiting speakers (professional photographers).
One or more members participate in landscape, record, macro, astro, night time, portrait and wildlife.
Themes Project
Throughout the year we choose a number of topics to be photographed by members, these images are submitted for viewing by the whole club at a club or training evening and will if requested receive constructive feedback.
Competitions
Throughout the year we have several internal and external competitions. The internal competitions run through the year and are for both digital images (viewed on a computer/LCD projector) and printed images. The scores for submitted images are totalled throughout the year and the overall winners for each media are announced at the AGM.
The external competitions test our skills against various other local camera clubs and societies.
Competitions are used as a means of testing your skills as a photographer and having them independently assessed by a visiting judge.
Community service
Occasionaly we are asked by other voluntary groups to help them photograph an event or document some other activity for future reference.
Photo Shoots
Visits to various locations are arranged by the club or individual members to numerous interesting locations. The visits are available to all members and allow you to practice your camera skills on various types of photography genre - landscape, portraits, street etc.
